Contribute to road safety in the Martin Grove Road area!The City of Vaughan has launched a new traffic study in the Martin Grove area &ndash; south of Highway 27 and north of Highway 7. This area was selected based on our continued commitment to the community to monitor congestion, traffic circulation, truck traffic movements and restrictions, operating speeds, pedestrian and cycling safety and on-street curbside activity. It was also selected considering the high population of older adults and vulnerable road users.By assessing traffic operations in the area, the City can find continued opportunities to address road safety and the overall transportation experience for all users &ndash; including those who walk, cycle, take transit or drive on or around Martin Grove Road. In addition to examining vehicle speeds, traffic volumes, site conditions, and existing traffic control and calming measures, City staff will work with the community to collect feedback on existing conditions and proposed recommendations. An online survey will be available until Tuesday, Dec. 12. It should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.</li><li>Answer a telephone survey. Starting Monday, Oct. 2, Forum Research will conduct 500 random telephone surveys among Vaughan residents on behalf of the City. If you are randomly selected, you&rsquo;re encouraged to participate in this important questionnaire, as public input is a key driver for municipal decision-making. The calls will be placed between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday to Friday and between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekends.
