Canada Drive - America Avenue Bridge Survey
In 2008, the City of Vaughan undertook an Environmental Assessment (EA) study for the area bounded by Teston Road to the north, Jane Street to the east, Major Mackenzie Drive to the south and Weston Road to the west, with Highway 400 dividing the overall study area. The study was initiated to provide a description of existing conditions, offer alternative solutions and design concepts, outline a summary of anticipated impacts and suggest mitigation measures to implement throughout the process. In December 2013, Vaughan Council approved the final EA study, which determined the preferred solution to be a bridge built over Highway 400 at Canada Drive and America Avenue.
Now moving into the design phase, citizens are encouraged to get involved in the process and have their say on the design of the bridge, including streetscape plans, landscaping concepts and more.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and will be available until Tuesday, April 13. If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Frank Facchini, Project Manager, Infrastructure Delivery, at CDAAbridge@vaughan.ca.
