Online Survey
Take the online survey from June 5-30 to provide your feedback on the draft vision, goal areas and key strategies for an Urban Forest Management Plan for Vaughan.
Open House (in person)
Attend an in-person open house on Thursday, June 8 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Woodbridge Room 242 at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr. W.) to learn more about the current state of our urban forest and the framework of the Urban Forest Management Plan. Registration is encouraged.
Guided Nature Walk
Participate in a guided woodland walk and speak directly with the project team on Saturday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at Sugar Baker Bush Woodlot (91 Thornhill Woods Dr.). Staff will speak about the pressures woodland management is facing in Vaughan and the framework of the Urban Forest Management Plan. Registration is encouraged.
Online survey (Phase 1) - COMPLETE
This online survey asked members of the public to share their thoughts on a vision for Vaughan’s urban forest, management guidelines, policy direction and how to prioritize locations for growing the urban forest.
Map Vaughan's trees (Phase 1) - COMPLETE
An interactive map allowed users to drop a pin on map to identify urban forest improvement areas in Vaughan.
Art contest (Phase 1) - COMPLETE
An art contest invited residents of all ages to submit drawings, paintings, photographs or sculptures for a chance to win (first-place winner will have their artwork featured on the front page of the Urban Forest Management Plan and will receive a tree dedication as part of the City’s Tree and Bench Dedication program).
